How to put on: Flight Pattern
As with all of our harnesses, the tag should be on the INSIDE of the harness on the left side, somewhere around the chest (depending on where the straps are). In this case, it’ll be on the piece that goes under your left arm that connects to the strap going around the shoulder.
Make sure everything is untangled and lays flat loosen all slide adjusters at least most of the way, then identify the two shoulder straps. The left shoulder should be easy to spot because of the tag. For the right shoulder, match up the connections to the ring (there are more long straps at the base of the harness).
Carefully pick up and drape the shoulder pieces over your shoulders. Until you get the hang of it things will likely tangle during this, so be patient with everything. As you can see from the image, the red shoulder strap is backwards, so I started things over again.
Carefully cross the shoulder pieces over your head, so the one that was on your left is now on your right, and vice-versa. It may help you to use a mirror for this and the next several steps, as things can get tangled.
Buckle the shoulder pieces into the piece that goes under your arm. You may need to use your neck/head to hold the other shoulder strap in place while you do this, so it doesn’t just fall off the back. Start with the left side so you can get a feel for which buckle you need to grab, as there’s a second female-end buckle piece right below it.
Note: the buckle will be reversed for this part going forward, to more easily tell which small strap around the shoulder is the correct one.
Connect the belly straps, crossing your body with each. This is what the female-end buckle that’s just below the one under your arm is for.
Now that the top part of the harness won’t fall off, adjust the shoulder straps as needed. Tighten the belly straps at least a bit at this time so they won’t be too floppy. You can adjust them more once you get the leg straps buckled in.
Connect the leg straps. The strap should go around the back of your leg, and the O-ring should be situated between the front and outer part of your thigh.
Tighten the leg straps. They should be fairly snug around your leg while standing up, but I'd recommend loosening them a bit if you're going to be sitting for more than a minute or so. Totally up to you.
Lastly, tighten the rest of the straps as needed. The straps in the back (especially the upper-X ones here) can be kept looser to move the O-ring in the back down. This is helpful if you want to clip a tail to that ring, or just like the look of it lower.
