Measuring
How to take the measurements we require:
This guide goes through all the different measurements that our products will require, and how to measure for them. If you still have questions after viewing this guide, please contact us.
Trale will be nude while showing off all measurements, so please be careful about where you view this page.
Measurement tools:
To measure, you will need a cloth measuring tape. If you do not have one, you can use any sort of rope-like thing (can be twine, a USB cable, or anything else that’s flexible and long enough). If not using a cloth measuring tape, use your alternative object to measure the same way as described and carefully mark where the measurement stops.
Use a standard measuring tape or some other measuring device to measure the distance marked on your rope-like object. Please submit your measurements in inches.
Please measure in the way you're going to wear the item (if only in fursuit then measure while in suit, or if you plan to wear it both on your bare skin or in a fursuit, provide both measurements).
Base of your clavicle to your hipline:
Find the base of your clavicle (collarbone). Put the start of your measuring tape there, then run it down the center of your body until you reach your hipline (not your waistline). If like Trale you have a belly that overhangs that area, do your best to follow along the line at your sides and measure where it would end if your belly wasn’t there.
Center of your breast to between your shoulder blades:
Start your measuring tape at your nipple (or roughly where it would be if you don’t have them). Go over your shoulder on that same side, then measure to your upper-middle back, right between your shoulder blades.
This measurement can be very difficult to do on your own, so if you’re struggling, I’d suggest having someone help. Alternatively, measure from the other direction. Dangle the measuring tape down your back and, with the help of a mirror, have it stop between your shoulder blades. Use a finger to hold the tape firmly to your shoulder so the back part doesn’t move, then measure in reverse.
Small part of your chest/around the neck:
Starting at the center of your chest right under the breasts, wrap your measuring tape around your body and have it meet back at the start. Do not pull the measuring tape tight; the tape should only mildly taut.
If measuring around your neck you can make it looser, especially if you're planning on wearing your collar more loosely.
Upper thigh, hips, or any arm/leg part you’re measuring the circumference of:
Start your measuring tape wherever you can easily see it (the side works best for me), then wrap it around your arm/leg until it meets back at the start. You’ll want to pull the tape at least somewhat tight here if you can.
For the upper thigh specifically, start right at the top of your thigh and have the measuring tape go right into your crotch to stay as high on the inner thigh as you can.
Make sure for your hips, when the measuring tape goes around back, that it lands just above the butt at the lowest point of your back.
For upper-arm bands, I would suggest flexing your arm if you can while doing this. The upper-arm can be tricky, so have someone help you if you can.
Muzzle harness (around the muzzle):
Start your measuring tape right right where the end of the mouth meets the line of the muzzle. Measure up and over the snout and down to the same place on the opposite side of the muzzle. Repeat the exact process, except going under the chin this time.
If you have a very short/flat muzzle, additionally measure the depth along the top. If it’s under 1.75”, our muzzle harnesses might not work for you.

Muzzle harness (around the head):
Starting at the spot where the edge of the mouth meets the line of the muzzle, measure around the back of the head to that same spot on the opposite side. If you have fluffy/puffy cheeks or anything else that the harness will sit over, make sure to measure over those as well.
